5 lettered taboo word.
Study. Yeah probably reasonable enough since O-levels are approaching. Add another 5 letters to the study.
Night study. This is still Okay. 5 + 5 = 10. Okay so add another 10 letters in front.
Complusory Night Study. That is NOT reasonable. Just how many times must we tell the teachers that there's no 1-for-all and all-for-1 method to success. It's not like everybody studies
EFFICIENTLY at night.
Picture this. . . please.
You wake up the next morning, knowing the day ahead is long just makes you want to fall back to your bed. Your mind tells you to go to
school. As you sit in the bus you are revising for the mock exam on that day.
Dull.
Lifeless.
The
noisy morning environment just makes you want to scream Shut-Up. When you reach school, you discovered that you
hadn't really revised on that morning. You are thinking of the lessons for the day. The
Extra classes in addition to the normal school time.
Great, now you have to spend an
additional 5 hours in a hollow concrete enclosure known as a classroom. In the unbearable heat of the afternoon atmosphere you use every single drop of energy to prevent yourself from
sleeping. You would be entertaining yourself by pressing random numbers on your calculator, or critisizing how the textbook should be written, or talk about teachers, or talk to your partner... And so you notice the time is 6pm. You longingly feel like going
home, your territory.
But the timetable on your table tells you that you have to stay in this hollow concrete for
another 3 hours. At night. Yes. Night. Where you used to spend your time relieving some, if not all, stress. And this time slot. Your
personal time slot. Is being controlled by school. For INefficient 'study'. And when the torture is over. You are
hungry and
sleepy. If you are not, then most likely you have not been studying. Finally when it's over, everyone hogs over their belongings and dash out of the classroom. Without a bye or a good night.
Well it wasn't good to begin with. And yeah now you would be thinking ahhh~ finally I can rest. You are tired and feel like you can sleep anytime in the bus on the way home. When you reach home, you
think you have some time for yourself and the time is 10pm. Bath and eat. 10.40pm now. Revise? Okay. 11.30pm. Go through roughly and quickly the lessons for the following day. 12 midnight. Before you know it, you are already in
bed. You do not have the energy and will to do your usual stuff that
saves you from going into depression. Yes. Perhaps that is the life we are destined for in our years of youth. . . .
....sacrifices. Just how much more. Perhaps countless more. Yes...
